About
Fujimi Christ Church is a Protestant Church in Fujimi City, Saitama Prefecture, that began in April 2025.
We belong to Japan Alliance Mission (JAM).
The Japan Alliance Mission is a Protestant Christian missions organization that belongs to the Christian and Missionary Alliance .
We have been in Japan since the 1890’s and have been involved in church planting, discipleship, and evangelism.
Our church has no affiliation with Jehovah’s Witnesses, the former Unification Church, or Mormon Church.
Worship
Every Sunday 3:00 PM
Anyone is welcome to join—no prior church experience needed.
What to expect
- Worship songs
- A Bible-based message with practical takeaways for daily life
- Prayer sharing in men’s / women’s groups (you can also just listen)
- Offering: voluntary (not required; first-time visitors may pass the plate)
During worship, we also have “Fujimi Kids” time—Bible stories, games, crafts, and more for children.

English Conversation Class
Every Tuesday 7:00–8:30 PM (Intermediate level)
- Teacher: Don Schaeffer (Pastor)
- Tuition: 2,000 JPY per lesson (e.g., 8,000 JPY for 4 lessons/month)
- Enrollment fee: none
- Textbook: 3,000 JPY
Don has extensive experience teaching English and also speaks Japanese. Feel free to ask questions.
About 10 minutes of each lesson uses an English Bible to learn practical English.
You can attend a trial lesson before signing up.
